Ok, so for various reasons we had some extra time in DC and we decided to hit the Hazy Center at Dulles. Enjoying McD's right now. A few pics for those interested.

So tell me about this, please. I don't recognize it. And it looks like you're in the restoration facility. Is that open to the public?

And also, are you really enjoying your McDonald's? The best thing about that restaurant is the view of the planes landing at IAD.

I thought it was their PBY, but it's actually a Sikorsky JRS-1 , which was at Pearl Harbor on December 7th.

Thanks. I knew it wasn't a PBY, but I always forget that Sikorsky started out as a manufacturer of flying boats before going into helicopters.

On that model, if you look close, you will find an R2-D2 and a mailbox on a post. I don't think you can see it in that picture, but they are on the model.
